Investigation Into Fatal Traffic Accident at 12500 North Freeway
February 18, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 12500 North Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 North) about 5:50 a.m. on Sunday (Feb. 14).
The male victim, 28, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital and pronounced dead on Wednesday (Feb. 17). The release of his identity is pending notification to family members.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J.P. Miller and Officer B.J. Banks reported:
A grey Jeep Grand Cherokee and a tractor trailer truck were traveling southbound on the North Freeway at a high rate of speed when the Jeep’s driver struck the flatbed trailer of the truck. The driver of the Jeep suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, three days later.

Investigation Into Fatal Traffic Accident at 7900 Park Place
February 16, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7900 block of Park Place about 6 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 11).
A male pedestrian, 69, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A.C. Francois and Senior Police Officer O.D. Lewis reported:
Officers responded to an auto-pedestrian accident in the 7900 block of Park Place at the intersection of 3900 Colgate. Witnesses stated a male pedestrian attempted to cross the intersection using a walker, and on several occasions, stopped in the middle of the roadway while vehicles passed by. The driver of a white Ford Escape, traveling eastbound on Park Place, hit the pedestrian. The driver stated that due to bad weather, wet roads and poor lighting, he did not see the pedestrian. Alcohol was not a factor in this accident.
The investigation is continuing.

Charges Filed in Fatal Traffic Accident at 7700 Banjo
February 9, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 7700 Banjo about 4:05 a.m. today.
The suspect, Randy Lee Doyle (b/m, DOB: 4-11-76), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 228th State District Court.
The female victim, 29, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officer J. Perrotte reported:
Doyle was driving a tan Ford F-150 pickup truck westbound in the 700 block of North Victory when he veered off the roadway, crossed a small bayou, flipped over and landed in the 7700 block of Banjo. The female victim was ejected from the pickup truck and died at the scene. Doyle was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Doyle later admitted to officers he had been drinking and taking drugs prior to the accident.
